    Cyst in ovary
Hi, I am deepika, age 25, just today I gone through pap smears and found that there is infection in my uterus. I was having irregular periods and spotting from last 3 months. I also done ultrasound which says that there is simple cyst in my right ovary size 2.8 x 2.1 cm with few internal echoes. Also endometrium is thick measuring 15mm. Please can someone advice me that what should be the best way to cure it. Is surgery the only way?

The doctor is suggesting surgery, and you want a second opinion? You really need to get that from another doctor, with a complete history. For starters, what caused the infection, what kind is it, and has it been treated and cured yet?
Although it's smart to question the need for surgery, you aren't going to get advice this complicated online.
