Can I use a recessed light can as a junction box for a different circuit
I would like to use a recessed light can as a junction box for a circuit other than the light circuit. This will help me eliminate a formerly hidden junction box.

No. This will still be a hidden junction box.

It will NOT be hidden. All recessed lights have removable cans of some sort and the junction box is accessible. If not then every recessed light out there would be illegal.

It's not the best idea, but sometimes you got to do what you got to do. At least it's complaint.
