What should be my next step for child support?
    Hello,
I've gone through GA child support to seek support from my daughter's father, who has been nonexistent. The courts established a default order, as the he failed to appear in court. Once he was a couple of months arrear, he faxed child support documentation showing he receives some type of disability (due to a kidney disease). Child support informed me my case was closed because they cannot collect on this type of disability. At the present time, I have not received documentation from child support stating specifically what he receives as far as benefits. My goal is to establish paternity (even though it lists him as the father on the support order) and seek child support. I feel like I am at a dead end. What should be my next step?

    Thanks so much!

You may hire an attorney and file in court. There he wlll be asked to prove his disabilty,

If he is truly on certain disability programs in the US, he will not have to pay child support, since he has no other income than this. If he has other income it will be up to you to prove it.

If he is on disability, then the child can file for payments though disability
