    Bankruptcy discharge paperwork
    We filed chapter 7 bankruptcy in June. June 12, 2012 to be exac. We have never gotten the discharge papers as of yet. Monte Ray & Cynthia. <Personal info removed>

    If you just filed in June, it would not even be close to being discharged yet.

    When did you appear for the first notice of Creditors, the first hearing.
    .
    If there were any objections, there may be additional ones.

    What type of bankruptcy was it, I will assume a 7.

    It will be most likey 6 months or more from filing date to a final discharge, several months after your last meeting of creditors.

    When was the Section 341 meeting ("first meeting of creditors")? Was the meeting concluded at that time?

    Discharges tend to be filed about 12 weeks after the meeting of creditors in the simplest of bankruptcy cases where everything is taken care of the first time around. This also depends on your state, as some move a little faster than others.
