There is trouble with the fill valve, you are not just letting it run, your water bill may be in the 100's wasting that much water.

You need to replace the fill valve and the flapper.

When you lift the can up does it stop the water? Have you shut the water off at the angle stop? Back to you, tom

In pic 400A I have checked and I don't have the refill tube and the angle adaptor to the overflow pipe which means my overflow pipe never has water in it does this helps

Hi Again Not sure what the angle stop is and not sure what the cap is but when you lift the overflow pipe it drains out ,
In the first question I ask I wasn't sure where the water was running to but its running into the bowl

    Hello Rodlin

Angle stop is the shut off valve for the toilet tank under the tank see the image below.

Can not the cap is the float see the image in post #3.

First you need to install the refill tube.

Your problem seems to be with your flapper valve see the image below, to confirm that the flapper valve is leaking close the angle valve (shut off valve) leave it for some time lift the toilet tank lid and see, if the water level is low it confirms the flapper valve or the seat is bad,
Feel around the flapper flat edge. If it's wavy or you feel rough spots replace the flapper, also check the flapper seat for any rough spots or damage if you see any clean or replace the flush valve, good luck.

This tube sends water to the bowl bringing up the bowl level and adds to the trap level all are important for a good flush. Go to a plumbing store and pick up a tube and retainer. Good luck, Tom
