    Just concerned.
I take lortab5 every 4 hours due to a fractured hip, I have been taking these for a month. Am I in danger of getting addicted?

Lortabs are addictive. I trust you were prescribed them because you are in pain?

Your Physician is probably being cautious?

As long as you are taking the pain medication under medical supervision the chance for addiction is limited. Your doctor will (should) monitor your response to the drug and particularly increasing tolerance based on dosage to minimize physical dependence.

As JudyKayTee noted the long range potential is there with any narcotic but is the role of the prescribing physician to monitor you. Most docs are pretty observant along those lines. So wouldn't be overly anxious at this point.
