Aright so longer story short... my girlfriend and I split up after about a year... two weeks later she contacted me asking to be friends, we hung out and spoke to each other as "friends" but we would hold hands, kiss, be affectionate with each other. About a week in half ago I wrote her a letter explaining that obviously we can't pretend to be friends, and we can't pretend that we don't still love each other and have feelings for each other that were both burying... I explained to her that I thought it was time for me to walk away and give her space and let her live her life.

She has not replied, we haven't spoke since... is she mad at me? Can I contact her to see how she's been? How long do I wait?. I mean we had an extremely close relationship.

How can you be sure she got the letter? Did you mail it or leave it in her mailbox, or...

Well I really wanted to get it off my chest, and I wanted to arranged a meeting with her face to face, but at the time she was busy with stuff and couldn't see me, so I wrote her a Facebook message... I really didn't want to wait any longer.
