    How long could you press charges?
    When I was 18, I stole money from my mom (not too happy about it). Over time it was $400. I gave her cash to pay her off and at $300 she told me it was enough and I didn't have to pay the rest back. Recently we have been fighting and she said that she was going to pursue the credit card issue. I don't know what to do... how can I cover myself?_

    What credit card issue? Did you steal her credit card, or money?
