Yesterday it was my birthday and I had a great day and I was really happy then all of a sudden I just burst into tears and I was really angry and upset and I hated myself for crying which made me cry even more! I turned really violent and didn't wan to talk to any of my friend and I just went to bed hoping I would be OK in the morning but I feel upset and the same and I really don't know why?? Any answers would be great thanks:)

There is a fine line sometimes between extreme elation and extreme despair. Have you ever seen someone who is sobbing with grief suddenly start laughing? Most of us know what it's like to be totally happy one second and off the wall with anger the next. Is it possible that underneath that good time there is something bothering you about your life, something at home perhaps?

You are 13, and your body is also going through huge hormonal changes. Assuming you are female from your ID, it could be related to your menstrual cycle, whether it has started yet or not. If you find that this happens more than a few times, your parents should take you to an endocrinologist.

Yes sounds like many 13 year old girls, one does have to work on controlling their behavior and not lashing out in public
