Can I claim back FICA taxes when being on J1 visa?
I have been on a J1 visa for almost 10 years now. I paid taxes including FICA, and I am not even sure I qualify for any of the Social Security and Medicare benefits. Can I claim FICA taxes back?
    Thanks.

You CANNOT get the FICA taxes back, but if you exceed ten years [paying into the Social Security system, you DO qualify for benefits.
