No. They won't go to my house.

They will go to wherever they think they can find the person who is to be served.

You can help them serve it by telling them where they are likely to find the person to be served.

The police are unlikely to serve a warrant for support. They may come and execute an arrest warrant for contempt of court for not paying support.

It sounds like you have your terms and situation mixed up. So instead of asking a specific question that is essentially meaningless, try describing the situation you are in and we can try to help.

Do you mean that you have gotten a order for support and it just needs to be served so they can start paying support ?

Do you mean there is an arrest warrant for failure to pay ?

As noted, terms can mean many things depending on how used.

The father of my children is court ordered to pay support. He is now $14,000 behind in payments. We had court about non payment he didn't show up. Now he has a warrant. Will they go to his house to arrest him? And how persistent will they be about it?

Sorry to keep asking more, was this warrant just not appearing, called "failure to appear" or was it criminal though the DA office for non payment of child support.

In either, most areas don't hunt them down very hard. Many areas wait to see if they get stopped for something else. If you know where he is, and when he will be there, report it to the local police

Again, a warrant for WHAT? You can ask the court to push that it be served.

Is he working? Does he have assets?

So he doesn't have a job, how is he going to pay? Do you think putting him in jail will make a difference?

I doubt if the police will arrest him for failure to appear. They might arrest him on the failure to pay if you can prove he has the ability to pay.
