    Breaker limits and uses
    I need a 50 amp breaker to wire my hot tub to a 50 amp sub panel. My breaker box has two tied 40amps that are not used . Can I wire to the two 40's without a problem?

    No, cannot use the 40 amp CB, need to change it out to a 50 amp.
