    In ground sprinkler pump
I had a 220 pump on my sprinkler system and it died on me.
I ordered a new one from a company and they sent me a 110 pump.
I called them and the said " were sorry we only make them in 110.

Here my question how can I take the 220 and drop it down to a 110/115 .
To make my new pump work? Do I only have to change the breaker out? Or is there more to it?

    Thanks in advance

The 220V is fed by 3wire (single phase) and can be rewired at the disconnect box by terminating the white insulated conductor (if both black in conduit, re-paint one white) and connect it to the grounded neutral terminal bar at the panel. If the feeder is a UF cable, then a third bare wire must be connected to the equipment grounding terminal bar mounted to the panel enclosure. Make sure you read the motor nameplate current rating to size the breaker and wiring to match the conductor size needed. If this is a small pond pump under 3/4 hp, then the existing 14 awg cable will be OK. Nm

Sprinkler pump is losing its prime [ 1 Answers ]

Hi all... my sprinkler pump is losing its prime on a daily basis. I have a newly sodded lawn and need to water daily. Could it be the check valve causing this? The check valve has been rattling lately when the sprinklers are on. If anyone has any ideas they would be appreciated. THanks.
