Garage wiring ( One light receptacle and two plug receptacles don't work)
I'm trying to troubleshoot an end of run wiring receptacle on the wall. My garage door opening receptacle on the ceiling of the garage and a light receptacle on the ceiling of the garage. Nothing seems to be working. I had the black hot wire on each of the brass screws by using different locations separately not on both screws at the same time. And the White neutral silver screws same thing trying every combination I could think to try on them. I've turned off the electrical panel for the garage three times. What do you think is causing such a problem. There is one light in the garage which is the closest receptacle to the wall of the house.

Sorry but I don't think I understand what you are trying to tell us. Right now the only thing I know is that a receptacle in the ceiling (for the opener) and a light doesn't work.

    What does this mean?

I had the black hot wire on each of the brass screws by using different locations separately not on both screws at the same time. And the White neutral silver screws same thing trying every combination I could think to try on them.
Are there any other receptacles or lights in the garage and do they work?
