How much money for a vet check-up?
    Hello everyone.

I just got my new female maltese and I am wondering how much the vet 1 and 2 shots, worming, neutering, etc. will be?

If anyone knows how much please tell me!

My vet charges me $35 for a routine check and shots. That may reflect small town rates. You should find the sticky here helpful. Start at https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/i...tml#post251802

Call around to the different vets in your area. If it's anything like where I live, they will all have different rates.

Neuter? Usually we use the term spay with females. I paid $192 this year to have my Lab done. Smaller dog are less. Thank you for planning that responsible step. Go along with your vet's timing on it, usually 4-6 months.

Puppies don't routinely need worming after they leave the breeder. Unless you have harsh winters, best thing is Heartgard+. $40 for a 6 month supply over the winter and switch to a heart worm, worm, flea product such as Revolution, yikes, $80 for a 6 month supply.
