Hot water handle broken in shower
I have an old stand-alone shower in the basement that gets used all the time. The hot water valve/knob does not emit hot water at all. The threadings look fine (at least the ones I can see), I'm not sure what to do next. All other hot water valves in the house work fine, so this incident is isolated to that one shower.

Water continues to drip out of the hot water knob in our shower. When we turn the knob it doesn't turn it off. We took the knob cover off and it appears that the water is leaking around the inside area where the knob connects to turn water off. We tightended it mannually and it continues to leak....
I changed the shower handle in the bath tub. Ever since I change the handle, I cannot get the hot water back to the position or even to get hot enough water back. Is there a position in which the handle has to go back. Can someone help. Thank you. Linda
My hot water handle leaks when I turned the shower on... it doesn't leak normally when running a bath or when it is turned off... it's a relatively new setup.. not sure what trype it is...
