Ive split with my boyfriend of 4 years the relationship has never reli bin good the first year was the best and then it was on and off always hurting each other and now we have split for good he's saying some horrible things like he's going to go sleeping around and it hurts so much I can't stop crying I've cryd all day and feel so down

I had a teacher in a life issues class that covered this subject. She said give yourself 3 days to feel bad, eat all the ice cream you want, watch all the movies you need to. On that fourth day don't allow yourself to feel down anymore. Because getting better depends on you. It's hard I am in the same position right now. But you have to get back up and try to be happy. The truth is you'll never stop loving someone. So ignore the things he's saying because I promise if you two were in love, he shares the same pain he may just be hiding it. So call up some friends, do some hobbies you enjoy or pick up a new one! Find something that makes you happy and do it. In time it will get easier, time heals all wounds even the ones we can't see.
