I want to sue my landlord
Mold and bugs have infested our apartment for the past five to seven months and my sick mother has no immune system. The land lord has neglected us and has done a horrible job of fixing our hot water leaks that are constant. Mold is everywhere and to top it off, we came home two weeks ago to find a pipe gushing water into our bathroom causing mold in the carpet and eventually bugs. We NEED to sue our land lord for negligence and hospital bills that we don't know how to pay without suing him. Where do we start?

We need to know where you live (country, state, province). Also how many units in the building, and does the landlord live there.
Generally you put complaints in writing, take pictures if you can, and call the Health Dept about mold! You can also put rents into escrow with a lawyer. Check around for tenant rights groups too.

You probably will not be able to sue your landlord if you have not properly registered your complaints. To tell you how to proceed we need to know your location.
