Hello, I really need some advise about what to do.

There is this guy in my school who is 17 (turning 18 &this is his last year) I'm 15(turning 16) and I have a major crush on him that I've had for at least 4 years now.. we're friends and we've talked a bit but not a lot. I'm annoyed though because I think he's going to be Head boy this year and so will automatically be super popular with all the girls and if I were to get to know him better and say that I like him, he'll think it's just because he's popular.

The trouble is I know I have no chance but recently on a school camping trip he came over to a few friends and I and we talked and laughed for hours before bed each night. He always says "Hi" anytime I see him now, I really want to talk to him again but don't know what to say.. we're so alike as in he loves theatre and so do I. He had the lead in a school play and he stared at me a few times when he was offstage.

Also he's done other things to indicate he likes me, he liked a photo of me on Facebook and a few years ago when we first met he asked if I had an older sister.

I'm sorry if this sounds stupid but I really like him and when he leaves school this year my chances with him are gone. However I'm worried that (even if he does like me) he won't go out with me because I have important exams coming up, he's so polite and respectable that way and I admire him for it but sometimes I wonder if he's too good for me. (I'm not bad or anything, but he's one of those amazing people that deserve someone amazing).

Any advise on what I should do would be amazing! Thank you so much in advance.
Also I'm quite shy and if I was to tell him how I felt, I'm scared that I wouldn't say it right or embarrass myself if he doesn't feel the same... please help! Thanks!
