EtG questions for Dr Bill... test coming
    Dr Bill,
I'm 39 years old and weigh approx 190 lbs at roughy 5'11'' in height. I consumed 5-50ml bottles of 80 proof vodka over the course of about 3 hours mixed with diet coke. I will be testing roughly 65 hours from the time of finishing the last drink with an assumed EtG cutoff of 100. My questions are:
    1. What is the likelihood of passing the test at such a low cutoff?
    2. Does a person who has a long history of regular moderate (not overtly excessive) drinking show a decrease clearance of the metabolite as compared to someone who has never drank?
    3. Will heavy water consumption over the next few days help clear the metabolite from your system faster? (Not dilute but actually INCREASE clearance) Assuming I will do it over the next say 55 hours to avoid a "diluted" test that I'm told in my situation would be considered and automatic failure.
Thanks in advance for your answer and fear not as I WILL be reporting the results here regardless of the outcome.

Low cutoff is always a problem because it picks up incidental exposure.

Most research indicates that drinking history plays no role in EtG/EtS clearance time. I question that because it certainly makes a difference in ethanol clearance time and these are supposedly direct metabolites of ethanol.

The test is very sensitive to water loading and it does indeed accelerate clearance as opposed to diluting. EtG is water soluble.

However, your total consumption was less than six (6) standard drinks (US), 5.7. Time span, 65 hours, indicates you will have no remaining EtG/EtS at that interval.
