    Studor vents
Thank you for this site! My question is: can an uncapped, horizontal instead of vertical, without vent cover, studor vent in my kitchen emitt sewer gases? I have had respiratory irritation for several months, and have called my landlord and the city's code enforcement. They admit it was not installed properly, and have come to correct it, but I want to know if it's possible it could have been emitting small amounts of hazardous sewer gases all this time... Thank you!!

It is possible if the vent was not installed properly. It would be difficult for anyone to tell if it caused your irratation, maybe.

Studor air gaps [ 2 Answers ]

I have checked out the Studor web site that Speedball reccomends and they say you can use their air gap and not go through the roof with the vent stack. Unless I missed it I haven't found any mention in any of the threads on here about venting this way. We are almost ready to go through the roof...

Studor vent with tow lavs [ 1 Answers ]

I have a 6 foot lav in my new addition. The bath is on the 2nd floor and there is no way to run the drain into the wall because of the joist below the wall. I am going through the floor into the 1st floor joist space with both lav drains. My question is -Can I use one studor vent for both lavs? I...
