Thank you for this site! My question is: can an uncapped, horizontal instead of vertical, without vent cover, studor vent in my kitchen emitt sewer gases? I have had respiratory irritation for several months, and have called my landlord and the city's code enforcement. They admit it was not installed properly, and have come to correct it, but I want to know if it's possible it could have been emitting small amounts of hazardous sewer gases all this time...
