Leaking tub spout
I have a Waltec tub spout with a diverter knob and spout on the top for a hose attachment that is continually leaking hot water. I have tried replacing the hot water tap cartridge to no avail. I have currently detached the hose from the top of the spout and noticed that while I have the diverter set to the hose spout, my leaks stops. I am not sure what to do next and I'm sure it's an easy fix. Any help would be appreciated.

Help! My tub spout leaked when the diverter was applied (directing water to the showerhead). I replaced the spout/diverter, and it helped, but the water still leaks (about 1/2 as much as before). Any thoughts on how to correct this? Thanks in advance!

I fixed my leaking Moen tub spout a while back and all has been well until today. Nothing else has changed with the spout but now it is leaking worse than before. Before was a drip, now I have a solid steam leak. All the parts are changed and brand new.. any suggestions?? Thanks, Christine:cool:
