    Maybe, maybe not, what is the bench warrant for ? Felony murder or theft over 1000 dollars ? The actual crime makes a difference. Also what county it is in,

    For most minor crimes they normally do not. But they can. When you are found in California, they detain you ( and will detain you every time they have contact with you) and they ask Virginia if they will pay to transport.

    Of course the warrant shows up on any background search, so it stops you from getting jobs, getting your drivers license and so om
