I have two wonderful kids and was with my ex for seven years before it all ended two years ago. In those two years we have seen each other most days and spent time together as friends. We have slept together a few times after nights out. We did used to talk about what would happen if we met new partners but my ex assured me that our kids would come first and that she had no intention of meeting anyone else for a while yet. Last week she told me that she had joined an online dating site, had met someone and had been seeing them for a month now. I was devastated as I had always hoped we would get back together one day. She has now asked me not to contact her again unless it is about our children, she wants me to meet her new partner and wants to introduce the kids to him after 6 weeks of knowing him. This has left me numb inside and unble to concentrate on anything. How do I move my life forward and let her get on with hers?
