    D-40E signed form
Do I need to send the D-40E signed to the state? It's for DC Individual Income Tax Declaration for Electronic Filing. I filed by e-filing and in one place it says to send this form and in another it says please keep for you records, do not mail.

Normally, the state does NOT want you to mail the electronic signature form.

However, if you are not sure, call the DC tax authority. They will tell you what to do.

If you are married filing jointly, your spouse must also sign and date the form...
