    Water leak in front yard
I have water leaking in the yard just behind the shut off valve on the house side. I do not want to dig yet, as I don't know if the soil is holding back a big flood if I attempt to dig there. I have just noticed this leak. I also have both kitchen sinks backing up that slowly drain. The right sink has a insinkerator and the left sink drains through a trap toward the back wall and turns left to somewhere behind the cabinet wall. I have tried a snake and drano in relevance to the kitchen problem with no success. The more pressing problem is the front yard.
The meter needle in the yard valve box is turning at a moderate pace. I thank you anyone for any help you can give.

Wow! Talk about "double trouble"! Most urgent problem first. Shut the water off at the meter and dig up and repair the leak/ If you need help give me more details.
    On to your sink.
Sounds to me like you have a partial clog in the horizontal drain in the wall. The solution would be to remove the traps "J" bend and send a snake up into the wall,(see image). There's a bend ablout 8 inches in but once around that you only have to put out 6 more feet of snake. Flush with a tub of hot water. Good luck and thank you for ratting my answer. Tom
