    Advice for Murrey riding lawnmower
    1999 murray riding widebody 17 hs briggs twin cylinder engine model 42a707 hydro. Chews up starter gears, and shatters starter magnuts.

    The starter is missalighned.also the teeth on the fly wheel could have dirt buildup.the answer is simple --pressure on th e shaft of the starter caused by misalighnment of the gears can ruin starters
