I am looking for a piston ring for a homelite ST200, I know it's a very old machine. I have the orignal part number for the ring, but still not much help. My understanding is that the ST200 powerhead came from the Super2 chainsaw. My question is are they the same ring.

Check with your local small engine dealer. Where I live, the local ACE has a huge repair ans parts place, that's where I go.

Hi,
You are correct that it is a Super2 ring. The 2 in both stands for 2 cu. in. Try the Chain Saw Collectors Corner at:

Thanks crigby, I ordered a ring a couple weeks ago off eBay for a super2. Same ring.
