Yeah... I'm going along with that you're gay. I know me and my friends don't run to each other in hopes of watching each other masturbate... in fact, other than crude jokes, we don't even talk about such things. The fact that you do it and it excites you... straight guys don't do that.

Well it seems that the consensus is that you're gay. I have to ask, did you ask this question to verify what you already know, or are you still in the closet, hoping that someone will say "oh ya, I'm straight, and I do that all the time with my friends"?

Instead of focusing on whether it's "gay" (a whole lifestyle or commitment to a particular person, etc. etc.) maybe start by accepting that it's definitely a same-sex attraction which may or may not mean you guys want to explore more layers of gay sex. Sounds like he is very keen to have sex experiences beyond cyber-sex and is trying to get you closer to the real deal.

IF you are young and IF you live in a culture where men and women aren't allowed to be around each other until a marriage is arranged, then maybe you are just experimenting together, or maybe he's gay and you aren't (you say you refused, but also went along with some of it).

You should not listen to them. They can't tell whether you're gay or not. That's up to you to find out. This might just be some sexual experimenting you have to go through. Maybe you are gay, maybe you are not. I actually masturbated with one of my male friends too when I was about 17. Now I'm enganged to a woman I love dearly. But my friend discovered that he's gay, and married a guy named Kevin last year. So it's really not for us to say..
