Creditor applied to garnishs my wages. My company stated I do not make enough( I only work pt), then they garnish my bank account. However it only receives child support. The bank then gave them funds from a cd account which was a joint acct.

So? You owed money, they obtained a judgement. They then used that judgment to attach assets you are listed as an owner of. Perfectly normal and legal.

But yes this is how it works.
