Maybe be a seat or transmission safety switch.

Hi,
The turn ot the key tells little until shorting across the solenoid is factored in; no voltage is reaching the solenoid. Check battery, ground and wire from battery to solenoid.

Hi,
The broken yellow wire could well be a seat switch wire and would be a proble, but the fact that shorting across the posts of the solenoid with no result still says that no voltage is reaching the solenoid.

Likely the yellow wire needs to be connected.
You could momentarily connect the yellow to ground for a test. If it works, connect the yellow back up to the switch. Good Luck.

Murray ride on mower (425014x92a) bogs/stalls
[ 1 Answers ]
When engaging the blade to cut, with the throttle on high, the mower comes to a practical stall. To keep it from stalling I have to quickly disengage the blade. I've checked two brake pads and they both release when the blade is engaged and they clamp the belt when disengaged. The belt seems a...
