    Shower pump hot water pressure
I have a shower/steam cubicle with overhead, handheld spray and back jets.

I had a plumber fit a Wickes 1.5 bar twin impeller booster pump and all worked well for 2 yrs until my pump started leaking. I went to Wickes and bought an identical pump but when the plumber fitted it there was no hot water coming through the shower. He turned the pump around and I got plenty hot water but no cold. A faulty pump, so the Wickes engineer came out, said the hoses were kinked and would give me the benefit of the doubt that the pump was faulty.and left me another pump, told me to get a plumber to fit a surrey flange and straighten the pipes.

I got the plumber out again and he swapped the pump for the new one (3rd pump now). This pump only worked for cold water and not hot. Another faulty pump I was told. I thought this was rather unlikely so knowing that the 1st pump worked perfectly except for the leak, I asked the plumber to put that one back on to see what happened. This one is the same now, still only giving a trickle of warm water.

The plumber has been up in the loft, the water appears to be running freely whenever he has opened a pipe. Next he tried taking the hoses from the back of the steam cubicle and joining them together to hopefully push any air out the system. After a few minutes the shower seemed to work, though still not as good a pressure I had for 2 yrs. The original pump has stopped leaking. Plumber thinks it might have been a faulty hose but I tend to think the reason it hasn't leaked again is because its not pushing out the pressure. The plumber was here for 7 hrs yesterday.

I paid the plumber and went in for a shower only to find the water and pump stopped after a few minutes.

In total I have paid the plumber £300 and am left with the original leaky pump on that gives me no water at all now.

I am sickened! Any help appreciated. Thanks Sandra
