    Life problems/issues
So, I just turned 17, 4 days ago, my problems are that my parents divorced when I was 4 or 5, I can't remember. Since then I've been living with my mom, but lately, ( this 2 years ), I feel more than often sad, maybe because my mom is still single. She is great, but she doesn't believe that I will make it in another country, she always says to drop it because there is nothing waiting for me anywhere but here. She also tells me how sick she is and that one day she might not be here anymore. I mean, isn't enough that I didn't knew my dad, now I have to live with the constant fear of losing my only parent?

One part of me is excited & happy because I'm going to college, and I'm going to live my dreams. But the other part is depressed because I will leave my mom here alone :(

    What should I do ?

You deserve to go live your dreams. My daughter is wanting to go to college in California (We live in Alabama now) and Yes I hate it with a passion. She is 17 also. And I am sick. But I will by no means let her ruins her dreams to be something in life, to experience life and new things because of my illness. I have almost completely lived my life and she has many years to go at living hers. When I leave this life it isn't an end of my life but merely a new beginning into another one. I raised my daughter I taught her well and I trust that she will go out live her life right and love the hell out of doing it.

But so you know it is going to be hard for your mom to let go. As it will be for me also. So think of her issue with it also. Don't waste too much time fighting over it if she is sick though.
