    Want my 16 year old sister to come live with me
    My sister is 16 years old and lives with my father who is an alcoholic. I'm 20 and moved out at 16 because I couldn't put up with him and she shouldn't have to either. I practically raised her myself my whole life. My question is if she wanted to come live with me could she legally? At what age can kids decide where they live? I live in North Carolina if that makes a difference. Id love to just take it to court but I don't have the money to dish out on a lawyer.

    I'd go for it. Do you really think someone is going to bother to go to court about it?

    She can make the choice at 18, before that she is a run away.
