    Question about 8843
    Hi I am student in US for more than 5 years (2006-2012), I need to file 8843 form and the line 12 should be yes I guess. What kind of statement should I put? Thank you.

    8843 is only filed when you are considered exempt for the substantial presence test. 2011 is your sixth year, so you are no longer exempt. So you need to file as a resident, and you don't file 8843.
