    Juvenile, please help!
I am 15 years old,and my story starts when a couple of my friends peer pressured into letting me keep their stolen stuff in my bag. I agreed because they said I wouldn't get caught.
So I leave and I get caught and they say that since the items totaled over $300 it was considered a felony.
So I get fingerprinted and "processed" and my parents had to pay the store a civil agreement of $200 for the things.
I really want to go to college and get into the medical field, but is that dream now gone?
I know the whole expunge deal and I was wondering if I could do that
How does that work out exactly?
And if I can't get the expunge, will any colleges still take me?
P.S. I live in Illinois in case the laws are different here.

    Hello j:

I'm not sure you were convicted of anything, so I don't know if there's anything to expunge. It doesn't sound like it to me. In any case, your minor offense won't keep you from college and I seriously doubt it'll keep you from your chosen profession..

The civil penalty is not the court fine, I did not see you say that you went to court, you will still have to do that. Most likely you get a division plan,

Your records should seal when you turn 18
