    Replacing Tub Drain Linkage Assembly
I need to replace the tub drain linkage assembly on my tub. I removed the drain cover and can not get the old drain linkage assembly out. I put wd-40 in to see if it would loosen up but no luck. Is there any other suggestions?

Grip the assembly and put some muscle into it. If you have a tub access panel you may also loosen the compression nut and remove the tube and drain assembly. You can then punch it out. Good luck, Tom

Hello, I'm replacing my bath tub with a tile shower that will have a mud pan. As a result I need to install a tile-in drain. My understanding is that the surface of the drain with all the top pieces removed needs to be flush with the concrete foundation. For the current tub drain installation...

Replace tub drain assembly w/o dumbbell wrench [ 4 Answers ]

Please help. I need to replace my pop-up drain assembly in a bathtub in a house we just bought. I tried to do it using a dumbbell wrench but the cross section that the wrench grabs onto was corroded and broke off. Therefore, there's nothing left to grab. I read somewhere that you can do...

Leak in New Tub Drain Assembly [ 3 Answers ]

I just installed a new bath drain kit. Upon testing there is a small leak at the connection of the brass waste shoe and the brass tee connector. In this kit a slipnut tightens a rubber washer to seal that connection. Is there anything else I can use to seal that connection? Thanks. Steve
