I have been wanting my ex to sign over his rights for a few years now he had only seen my daughter now 9 when he was in a relationship with his now ex and other children's mother because she was there to take care of my daughter and I knew she was a good person. Now that they are not together he is living with his parents has a young girlfriend that has a troubling drug background. He has not seen my daughter since Dec 29th and that was only because he she was at his ex's spending the night with her brother and sister and his ex was going out so he wanted to be nosey. My husband has been there for my daughter for the past 7 years they have a strong father daughter relationship and the fact that her bio-dad doesn't come around bothers her sometimes I had spoken with him a month prior to the last time he saw her about stepping up and at least calling her every couple days he has done just the opposite on Christmas he just dropped her gift off and left which was troubling to her because for the past 7 years he has had her either Christmas eve or day. I want to do what's in her best interest but would prefer if he was just out of the picture. I do have a child support order he does not pay regularly and owes well over $5,000 I set up a hearing also for visitation to be set up but he didn't show that was 3 years ago.
