    GP? As in doctor?
Give some thought to gender difference between doctor and patient, as well as religion, culture, and national origin.
Think too about right to know, respect for intelligence and awareness of one's own body, and right to make informed decisions. The last one is part of identity when choices need to be made, whether minor types of treatment (drugs vs natural for instance) or major ones like how long to prolong life.
Describing all this is your job.
