Does taking antibioitics affect birth control?
I have been on birth control for about two years. I had sex when I was on my period. Two days after having sex I started taking an antibiotic. A month later I had a very short period which started dark brown went to bright red and the to very light brown discharge. I am now noticing that my nipples are turning darker and getting bumps on them. Could I be pregnant?

    Emily24,

Yes, it is possible to get pregnant while taking antibiotics on birth control; this is why pharmacists will tell u to use other forms of contraceptives during and around the time of the course of antibiotics. While pregnancy tests are not that expensive and fairly accurate, false positives do occur, my advice would be confirm it with a blood test at a doctors office in the case of a positive.
