Anti-Depressants effect on sex drive and orgasms
So, my boyfriend and I have been together for about 6 months now. I am 22 and he is 25. We have a long distance relationship (only about a 2 hour drive) so I only get to see him on the weekends. When we first started having sex it was AMAZING! We both wanted it all the time (and he lasted a long time). Even then he couldn't orgasm every time. After our 5th time having sex, he started taking Paxil for anxiety after I encouraged him to do so. He hasn't had an orgasm with me since and now never wants sex. (for about 4 months)
I know that a lot of anti-depressants have sexual side effect, but it's hard for me to understand.
He's only orgasmed with me twice. I feel like I can't satisfy him. I know that he looks at porn almost daily and masturbates. He says he rarely orgasms, but can after an hour of masterbating. To make matters worse his last girlfriend was a model. I feel like I can not visually stimulate him no matter what I try. I've tried lingerie, talking dirty, oral sex, etc. but he never wants it.
I'm worried that the Paxil is not the only problem here. I never got that feeling of security considering he only wanted sex with me those few times. Does anyone know of a solution to my problem?

Paxil is most likely the cause here. Wellbutrin has been associated with major liver and kidney failure, so I would stay away from that too. Msjmac, it is never recommended to prescribe meds over the internet because you do not know the persons medical and physical history.

He needs to talk to his prescribing physician and let the doc know that he is having the sexual side-effects that associate Paxil. His doctor can recommend one with less or no sexual side effects that is best for him.

Msjmac, many people do not follow up with doctors these days, it is a very sad state of affairs, but many believe that is how it is supposed to be. I am sorry, but I did not see anywhere where you said it was your opinion.

That to me does not sound like an opinion, but rather a prescription.

Ok, he has followed up with his doctor AND tried wellbutrin. Nothing has worked. His doctor seems to think that the sexual side effects shouldn't be a big concern and doesn't listen when my boyfriend asks to try a different medication.
I just wanted some advice from personal experience or studies that have been done on medications that don't have such drastic sexual side effects.

I just don't know why he still has the drive to masterbate. It hurts me and makes me feel like I can't please him.
