    What wire goes to which post? I have 8 wires coming out of the wall.
    The colors are white, black, blue, green, orange, red, yellow and one more I can't remember. All the directions I have seen are for changing out old thermostats not installing new ones. Any help would be appreciated.

    T stat and furnace have to have matching wiring. These are what the terminals mean. Y is cool g is fan r is power w is heat. C is common. Just be sure they match at t stat and furnace
