New above ground pump and new pressure switch 40 - 60 PSI
Pressure would not go above 45 PSI, the pump continues to run and it does not shutt off. I have to manually turn it off. Any assistance is appreciated.

Double check all your pipe connections. Have to be airtight.

Would the old pump get up to 60#?

Yes, old pump would go above 45 PSI. Could it be the check valve? All the Pipe connections seem to be air tight.

I doubt the checkvalve is your problem. Wish I had some great advice.

Just curious as to why you changed the pump? Also, do you know how deep the well is?

Yes the old pump would reach the proper pressure to engage pressure switch thus shutting off power to pump. Now once the pressure reaches 45 psi on the new pump the pump begins to make a gargling sound and maintain a constant 45 psi. All pipes leading to and from are airtight.
