    Commercial tenancy tasmania?
A condition of our commercial lease is that we pay 60% of the council rates. We have never (until yesterday) received a copy of the rates notice nor what amount we were to pay despite repeated requests over a 4 year period. We have now been give a hand written list of what we supposedly owe with a demand for payment and late fees. Is it a requirement that the landlord give us a copy of the relevant years rates notices so that we can verify the amounts owed by us. Also, we have never received receipts from the landlord for the rent we have paid despite repeated requests. We require the paperwork for our accountants and the taxation office.
