    Boyfriend adopt child
    If a fathers name is not on the birth certificate but he has been in the child's life and pays child support can her boyfriend adopt the child

    ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

    In many areas, for a Step parent adoption one has to be a step parent. Which means marriage. So a boyfriend will generally not be allowed to adopt.

    Whether the bio father is on the birth certificate or not, he WILL need to agree to the adoption.
