    Pole wrap base cap
I am in the process of finishing a basement, I am installing a oak pole wrap around a metal support pole. I have installed a floating Armstrong floor. My question is how do I install/secure the base cap for the pole wrap to a floating floor. All the installation advise says to glue it to the floor. Should I cut the floor and glue it to the foundation? Or glue it to the Armstrong Floor?

I'm sure it will be OK to glue it to the floor, and it will look better, be less work, and it's not taking any load.
