I have a octopus furnace and I just had it repaired but the heat control had 2 wires
I have a octopus furnace and I just had it repaired but the heat controller had 2 wires before the repair was done and ran very well. When the repair was completed the air controller had only one wire and it's rattling the vents, should my furnace have two wires to the heat controller and why is it loud and rattling the vents?

Hi. I bought my 1939 home last fall. It has an old "octopus" / gravity furnace that has been converted to gas. It has worked very well until a few days ago. It would try to come on, but the burner would not stay lit. Now, it doesn't even attempt to come on. The thermostat is a LUX...

Does anyone knows what is the best way to soften octopus when cooking? Method I use is beating the octopus with a stick or a piece of flat wood, then boil it in plenty of water until soft. Discard the water and cut the meat up for further cooking e.g. in curries, salads etc.. :rolleyes:
