    Backup light switch
    Looking for location of backup light switch for 1994 buick regal custom

    It will likely be on the transmission.

    Thanks for your response. When I looked at the part on Rock Auto website, they say its located near the gear shift lever. My gear shift is located in console between the two front seats.

    I checked out their site and it looks like it threads into the transmission. Look at Part No. XRLS69, Back-up Lamp Switch.

    Look at this for a Chevy Astro:

    Notice it says mounts on transmission. All of them that I have seen have been this way.
