    Infected belly ring
I have a blister on my belly ring, my peircing is about 3 months old. I noticed it about 3 days ago and have been using rubbing alcohol on it, polysporin, and spectro gel. Since then I have been monitoring it to see if there have been any changes, however today the blister is getting harder, I am worried the infection is getting worse, or that it may burst? I have been doing research online and people have said not to try and drain it but to clean the peircing often and it will go away. Please help!

If you ever have any questions about a piercing, contact the studio or artist who did it; they'll be able to answer many of your questions.

It does sound like you have an infection. I've been in this boat before and just cleaning didn't help, but lancing or popping it did, because it let all the pus that had built up drain out, which it's unable to do since your piercing is older and has healed and closed (a fresh piercing would be open and able to drain), then continue to keep it clean.

When in doubt, ask your doctor!
